Kasauti Jury ke stress ki

Some relative came and asked me - tumhare exams nahi hote kya? Exams nahi hote  but there is this one-day presentation known as THE JURY. Jury is that complete 4 course meal that has to be made using all your skills that you have obtained until now with all the knowledge acquired and that meal has to be presented in the final round of Masterchef. And the judges will decide on which dish is the best and which is not, but in order to deliver a satisfactory menu, you have work equally hard everyday so that the perfect taste is achieved. Imagine, you have worked hard all over the year and then one day, a person with 15 or 20 years of experience comes and says "This design already exists" or "This design is nonsense" or "You are not supposed to study in a design college".  Heartbreak, regret, sadness, grief, stress and all other synonyms of them start entering your heart one by one and make it sink deep into the ocean of demotivation. This was my point of view ...

College has been fun, until...

After a looong hiatus, I finally found something interesting to write about - My dear college. It has been 2 years since i've been studying in college. There is so much that has been happening with my life around this place that is situated in some corner of Ahmedabad city. Imagine being so busy and occupied that you are not free even to feel homesick. Believe me, I survived 5 months without going home. Even Diwali vacation was spent over there. But work has been the part and parcel of my everyday. I don't even realise what date it is until I look at the calendar just to realise that a random friend needs to be wished a happy birthday (no offense guys).   A lot has changed in these 2 years. My behavior towards different kinds of people, their influence and how they could manipulate you into doing something out of your comfort zone. That has made me learn about how seriously you should listen to a person that you have met randomly in college as compared to a person who was there...

How I Ended Up as a Design Student

All of us are a main character in our Story Of Life. People like me (an average introvert who will definitely over think before speaking about anything) never like to talk about what is happening in their life -or maybe nothing is happening at all.  However, these three years after passing out from school have been a rollercoaster for me, where I don't pay for the ticket, but I experience everything that happens during the ride.  And let me be honest, this is just the beginning.  School was good, but I was never actually interested in those subjects. Talking about science and maths, I was into none of them. It was like an unsuccessful arranged marriage.  Something that I was genuinely interested in was Art. An external affair I had during school.  School ka rishta humne acche se nibhaya, par dil me jagah Art ne le li thi. And that was a start to a journey as an Artist. I started taking interest in painting, mandala art, sketching and all sorts of art mediums. I ...

What and How Design : A Guide by your Friend.

People must be wondering why my Blog is titled  as "Designer : To be or not to be".  Well, I am studying in a Design college and will be getting a degree for it. However,  I would love to let people know how the world of Design works adding the fact that drawing ≠ design . What is Design?  Is it just designing beautiful clothes, aesthetic interiors and catchy websites?  It is more than that.  Design has been recognised as a creative kitchen counter that can produce tons of unique and exquisite recipes for the world to relish them and satisfy its taste buds of development. Designers are the chefs who mix and match different ingredients such as intellect, design sense, technicalities and general knowledge. And then, the recipe ends with a final garnish of " form follows function and function follows form ". It enhances the taste and presentation of the design internally and externally.  Let's talk about these creative chefs. It has been assumed by publi...
